Fujifilm X-T3
For €700 you get the same sensor as the X-T4 without paying for IBIS
The X-T3 disappeared from the catalog in 2021, making it the best APS-C deal on the used market. We tell you what it's like to shoot with it in 2026.
- 26MP X-Trans 4 sensor remains the best APS-C in its price range
- Analog dials (ISO/shutter/compensation) intact: unique ergonomics
- Weather-sealed build that ages well
- Fuji film simulations included (Eterna, Classic Chrome, Acros)
- No IBIS — the one area where the X-T4 clearly stands out
- Small buffer with lossless compressed RAW files
- Tilt-only screen (not vari-angle)
Why the X-T3 is still selling in 2026
When Fuji released the X-T4 in 2020, many predicted the X-T3 would vanish from the used market. Six years later, we sell more X-T3s than X-T4s. The reason: the price gap doesn’t justify the performance gap for those who shoot mostly photos.
What the X-Trans 4 sensor brings
26MP, low luminance resolution to avoid moiré, and that Fuji signature that makes every X camera feel like a mini Leica. The Eterna and Classic Chrome film simulations, when applied well, turn JPEG files into something publishable straight out of camera.
What we’ve seen in the workshop
100+ units inspected:
- Top dials: the X-T3’s weak point. We’ve seen a few units with a wobbly shutter speed dial, especially among street photographers (heavy use of that dial). Fuji repair: €130-160.
- LCD screen: mandatory cleaning on units used outdoors. Dust under the touch layer.
- Body: the weather sealing holds up. We’ve seen X-T3s that have been with wedding photographers for three years and still work.
X-T3 or X-T4?
The X-T4 adds 6.5-stop IBIS and a vari-angle screen. On the used market, it costs €400-500 more.
- X-T3 if you mainly shoot photos and use shutter speeds ≥ 1/60.
- X-T4 if you shoot video frequently or need IBIS for telephoto lenses.
Verdict
The X-T3 ages like fine wine. For €700 you get a sensor used in €2,000 cameras and a body built to last. If you’re entering the Fuji system, this is the entry point with the best value for money.
