14-Day Returns at Camera Market: How, When, and What Happens to Your Money
Return without having to give explanations. Timeline, process, special cases, and the details of refunds to the original payment method.
Buying a used camera raises legitimate doubts: what if it’s heavier than expected? What if the grip doesn’t feel right? What if I open it and it’s not what I thought?
That’s why we have a 14-day no-questions-asked return policy. Here’s how it works in detail.
The Timeline
14 calendar days from the delivery date. The count starts the day the courier registers delivery at your address — not the day you open the box, not the day you decide to test it. Your delivery date appears in the shipping confirmation email with tracking.
If you’re unsure about your exact date, check the email “Your order has been delivered” or ask us via chat/phone.
What You Can Return
Anything — the entire kit or parts:
- The complete camera.
- Just the lens if you bought a body + lens kit.
- Included accessories (strap, charger, batteries) if they came separately in the order.
No justification needed. We won’t ask you why. “I changed my mind,” “I don’t like the weight,” “I expected an articulating screen,” “I found something better at another store” — all are valid reasons.
The Step-by-Step Process
1. Initiate the Return (1 minute)
Three ways, all equally valid:
- Email: reply to your order confirmation email with “I want to return my order.”
- WhatsApp: number in the footer of cameramarket.es.
- Web form: in your customer account, “My Orders” section → “Return” button.
We only need: your order number and what you want to return (everything or part of it).
2. You’ll Receive the Prepaid Return Slip (24 business hours)
We’ll email you a prepaid return slip with a barcode. The label covers shipping from your address to our warehouse — at no cost to you.
3. Pack the Item (15 minutes)
Place the camera in a box with padding:
- If you kept the original box, that’s best. Return it with the camera and accessories that came in the original order.
- If you don’t have it, any cardboard box with bubble wrap, foam, or crumpled paper works. The camera must arrive protected — damage during shipping due to insufficient packaging can affect the refund.
Attach the return slip to the box in a visible spot.
4. Hand It to the Courier (5 minutes)
Two options:
- Free home pickup: scheduled when the return slip is generated. The courier comes to your home between 9:00 AM and 7:00 PM.
- Drop-off point: if you prefer to leave the box at a nearby point, that’s also valid. The label works the same way.
5. Warehouse Verification (3-5 business days after receipt)
When it arrives at Camera Market:
- We check that the camera matches the one sent (serial number).
- We verify it’s in the same condition: we clean it, check the shutter count, sensor, and screen.
- If everything checks out, we approve the refund.
If there are significant differences (new scratches, missing accessories, undeclared damage), we’ll call you before processing to agree on a partial refund or full return.
6. Refund (3-7 business days)
The refund is processed to the original payment method:
- Card: appears in your account within 3 to 7 business days, depending on the issuing bank.
- Bizum: instant once confirmed by us.
- Bank transfer/Bizum to your IBAN: 1-2 business days.
- PayPal: appears in your PayPal account within minutes.
- Deferred payment (Klarna/Sequra): we cancel the entire financing, and you owe nothing.
Special Cases
You Received a Kit and Only Want to Return Part of It
No problem. Return the lens and keep the body (or vice versa). We refund the individual price of the returned item — individual prices appear in the order confirmation when the kit was a bundle.
The Camera Arrived with a Defect NOT Listed in the Spec Sheet
This isn’t a return but a warranty case. Call us directly — the process is different and usually faster. It covers repair or replacement, not a refund unless you prefer that.
15 Days Have Passed and You Want to Return
If exactly 14 days have passed but the camera has a technical defect, it’s still covered by the 12-month warranty. You’re not left without options; it’s just that the route is “warranty” instead of “14-day return.”
You Received the Camera Damaged by the Courier
Take an immediate photo + email support. We resolve it as a claim with the shipping company and send you a replacement or full refund. We almost always absorb the loss ourselves with the shipping insurance, rather than making the client wait weeks for SEUR/MRW to sort it out.
What Is NOT Accepted as a Return
For the policy to remain sustainable:
- Cameras with obvious damage from misuse (drops, water damage, internal tampering).
- Used consumable accessories (straps that have gotten dirty, grips attached with non-original adhesive).
- Modified cameras (unofficial firmware, IR conversion, etc.).
- Cameras returned more than 14 calendar days after delivery.
Why the Policy Is This Generous
We sell second-hand cameras. Buying used always involves a bit of “first contact that you only know when you hold it in your hands.” Without a generous return policy, hesitant customers won’t buy — and those who do would be the risk-takers, the ones who complain more later. A generous return policy filters out low-conviction orders before they turn into lengthy claims. It’s better business for us and for you.
